Bio

Owen Lucas is a British writer living in Norwalk, Connecticut. As a student at Goldsmiths College in London, he was taught poetry by Anthony Joseph and Jack Underwood. A close association with members of what became the Clinic arts and poetry collective lead to readings across London and to his first publication. Since his move to the United States, his poems, stories and translations have featured in more than fifty magazines and journals. During 2013, Mountain Tales Press published a serialisation of twenty-five of his ekphrasis poems, under the title Afterworks. In 2014 he co-wrote and produced a theatre piece, To Alexander, with his brother, Josh Lucas, and artistic director Sian Keen, which was performed at Royal William Yard in Plymouth. He is an Editor-at-Large at Potluck Magazine.
